في لقاءٍ تنسيقي مشترك بين جائزة حمدان بن راشد آل مكتوم للاداء التعليمي المتميز والمكتب الإقليمي لمنظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والثقافة والعلوم ( اليونسكو ) ، نقل الدكتور أحمد الصياد مساعد مدير عام اليونسكو للعلاقات الخارجية والتعاون تحيات وتقدير مدير عام اليونسكو إلى سمو الشيخ حمدان بن راشد آل مكتوم ـ نائب حاكم دبي ـ وزير المالية ـ على جهوده الكبيرة في دعم التعليم والثقافة في مختلف مناطق العالم وخاصة الدول الفقيرة ، وتبرع سموه لدعم صندوق المنظمة الدولية لتمكينه من أداء رسالتها الانسانية السامية ، مؤكدا أهمية الدور الهام الذي تقوم به جائزة حمدان في دعم قطاع التعليم والمعرفة ، مما يمثل مساندة جيدة لجهود منظمة اليونسكو الهادفة إلى الارتقاء بالثقافة البشرية كإحدى أنجع الوسائل للقضاء على المشكلات العالمية مثل الجهل والفقر والأوبئة ، مشيرا إلى أن إسهامات دولة الامارات العربية المتحدة ـ الرسمية والخاصة ـ في دعم مشروعات المنظمة الدولية تفرض التقدير والاحترام لقيادتها وشعبها ، موضحا أن سموالشيخ حمدان بن راشد آل مكتوم ـ نائب حاكم دبي ـ وزير المالية ـ يعتبر نموذجا رائعا للإنسانية ، ومشروعاته الخاصة في مجال دعم التعليم والصحة والثقافة والمساعدات الانسانية ، تتناغم مع المسؤوليات التي تحملها منظمة الأمم المتحدة ، وهذا ينم عن وعي إنساني راقٍ ، يستحق كل الإجلال والاحترام .
واضاف الدكتور الصياد أن جائزة حمدان التعليمية الدولية التي خصصها سمو الشيخ حمدان لأفضل الممارسات التعليمية للمعلم في الدول النامية سوف تلقى الاهتمام اللائق من منظمة اليونسكو باعتبارها من جوائز الفئة الأولى التي تسهم في تحقيق أهداف مشروعات وبرامج المنظمة الموجهة إلى الدول النامية ، منوها إلى أن اليونسكو يسرها أن تكون مضلة دائمة للجائزة وأن أفضل الخبرات التربوية سوف يتم تسخيرها لدعم ومتابعة وتطوير هذه الجائزة .
من جهته أشاد سليمان عبدالخالق المدير التنفيذي للجائزة بجهود منظمة اليونسكو ومديرها العام السيد كوتشيرو ماتسورا في مجال تطوير الأداء التعليمي ورفع سقف المعرفة والثقافة في المجتمعات النامية ، ومحاولاتها الجادة في القضاء على مظاهر التخلف وانتشال الانسانية من براثن الجهل والفقر والعنف ، مشيرا إلى أهمية التعاون الثنائي المشترك وجهود التنسيق القائمة لانطلاق جائزة حمدان الدولية للمعلم الموجهة لأفضل الممارسات التعليمية للمعلم في الدول النامية والتي أمر بها سمو الشيخ حمدان بن راشد أل مكتوم راعي الجائزة ـ إسهاما من سموه لدعم برامج منظمة اليونسكو التعليمية في الدول النامية ، مشيدا بتعاون المكتب الإقليمي لليونسكو مع الجائزة .
