United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has received 27 nominations for the award Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum / UNESCO - Outstanding Practice and Performance in Enhancing the Effectiveness of Teachers', at its first session 2009/2010.

According to what Sulaiman Abdul Khaliq Ansari Executive Director of Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for distinguished Academic Performance said the nominations have reached the Coordinating office of UNESCO from 22 countries from all continents of the world.

Al Ansari added that these posts are currently subject to scrutiny in the Coordinating office of the award of UNESCO and the consideration of compliance with the standards and meet the requirements, and then sent to the United Arab Emirates at the end of September, where they will be judged in Dubai early December by an international committee will be formed specialized in coordination with the UNESCO and will include a selection of experts, academics, international and local communities.
