Foundation Supreme President His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum
H.H. is a descendant of the ancient Arab Al Maktoum family, rulers of the Emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and the second son of the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. H.H. is Deputy Ruler of Dubai and the UAE Minister of Finance. H.H. is known for his interest in humanitarian work, his passion for culture, literature and scientific development, and his keenness for sustainable human development in a stable global environment based on dialogue, tolerance and partnership. Among H.H.’s most acclaimed initiatives are the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic Performance and the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences.

His Highness was chosen as the Humanitarian Personality of the year by the Rashid Center for Childhood Care and Treatment

His Highness was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Literature from Abertay University, Dundee, Scotland, in appreciation of H.H.’s role in promoting awareness and tolerance between cultures.

His Highness was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Gezira, Sudan, honoring the role of H.H.’s charitable contributions to developmental revitalization efforts.

His Highness was selected as the best international figure in the fields of health, education and sports by the International Hospital Federation

His Highness won the Arab Technologia Life Achievement Award, in recognition of H.H.’s efforts in supporting information technology in the Middle East.

His Highness was awarded 3 certificates from the Royal College of Physicians as the first international figure to accomplish this achievement: Honorary Fellowship Certificate of the Royal College of Internal Medicine of London, Honorary Fellowship Certificate of the Royal College of Internal Medicine of Edinburgh, Honorary Fellowship Certificate of the Royal College of Internal Medicine and Surgery of Glasgow

His Highness was awarded an appreciation award from the European Conference of Arab Horse Organizations (ECAHO) in recognition of H.H.’s achievements in international horse racing
