The Innovation in Healthcare Award is presented to projects that offer outstanding contributions and innovations in the healthcare sector. It celebrates initiatives that enhance the development of healthcare services in the UAE and contribute to individual well-being and community safety.
Eligibility Criteria
v Nominations are open to all healthcare and non-healthcare facilities in the UAE.
v Applications are open for all initiatives, whether from individuals, groups, or institutions.
v The Award is presented to innovative, newly developed (or significantly improved) projects, programs, or services in healthcare.
v Theoretical and unapplied work does not qualify for the Award.
v Previous participants or winners may submit new applications for new initiatives.
Terms & Conditions
v Applications must be submitted through the designated submission platform.
v The research team must authorize one of its members to:
o Submit the application form.
o Receive the award and attend the ceremony if selected as a winner.
v Each applicant is allowed to submit only one project per award cycle.
v Adherence to research ethics, scientific integrity, and intellectual property rights is mandatory.
v For group submissions, the award amount will be equally distributed among all team members.
v The decision of the judging committee is final and cannot be appealed.
v The Foundation reserves the right to amend or cancel the award at any time, with or without providing reasons or prior notice.
v The Foundation reserves the right to withdraw the award if it is found that the winner has violated any eligibility criteria, award terms, research ethics, scientific integrity, intellectual property rights, or for any other reason deemed valid by the foundation.
v The Foundation may publish a simplified summary of the winning project on its website and media platforms.
Submission Requirements
v The application must be submitted in English.
v A no-objection letter from the institution's management, where applicable.
v For applications submitted by institutions, a valid trade license must be provided.
v A letter signed by all team members that includes:
o No objection to the submission of the project for the award.
o A detailed description of each member contribution in the project.
v The submitted project must follow the specified format:
o Project title and team member names.
o Project summary: Focus on the project's innovative aspects (maximum 350 words).
o Background: Context and the need for the project (maximum 300 words).
o Objective: What the project aims to achieve (maximum 200 words).
o Implementation (maximum 1500 words):

o Outcome: How the project achieved its objectives (details must be quantifiable and measurable) (maximum 750 words).
o Discussion and future direction: Future steps for the project, feasibility, and potential impact (maximum 1000 words).
o Ethical considerations: Discussion of the ethical aspects of the project (maximum 200 words).
o Acknowledgements for any funding sources or institutions involved in the project.
v Attach supporting documents (e.g., images, reports, results, user feedback).
v Include a simplified summary of the project (maximum 300 words).
v An Arabic translation of the project title.
v Valid passport copies of all participants in the project.
Incentives and Rewards
The award is granted to two projects, each receiving a monetary prize of AED 250,000, a trophy, and a certificate of excellence.
